Report of observation of “National Road Safety Month- 2021”

In order to create the awareness among the general public to improve the safety on road and to give an opportunity to all stakeholders to contribute to the cause of road safety, various activities were conducted by the institution.

Community Health Nursing department along with PBBSc Nursing students observed National Road Safety week on January 11, 2021, from 4 pm to 5 pm through MS Teams online platform on the theme “Safe yourself to save your family”. Mr Nagesh Nayak, Assistant Police Sub-Inspector, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 Police Station, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 gave a brief talk on the importance of observing Road Safety week. The students of II PBBSc Nursing conducted a presentation on different types of traffic signals. On January 14, 2021, a Radio awareness programme for the public was conducted and the programme broadcasted by Community radio, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 at FM 90.4 on January 14, 2021, from 6.15 pm onwards. Programmes were guided and supported by Mr Vinish V, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏.

Safety Pledge was organized on 17th February for all the faculty, students and non-teaching staffs of 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 College of Nursing. Total of 386 students, 32 faculty and four non-teaching staff participated in the pledge. The pledge for faculty and non-teaching staffs were facilitated by Dr Judith A Noronha, Associate Dean, MCON 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 and for the students by the respective class coordinators.

Slogan writing competition was organized for all the students of MCON 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 on the theme “Safety on Road” was organized. The overall programme was coordinated by Ms Shalini G Nayak, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏.
