Guest Lecture on ‘Pandemic as a Disaster’

Department of Child Health Nursing, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 College of Nursing, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 Academy of Higher Education, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 organized a Guest Lecture on “Pandemic as a Disaster” on September 23, 2020, between 3.00 pm & 4.00 pm for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students through Microsoft Team Platform. Mr Prabhath Matpady, UNICEF supported consultant - Disaster Risk Reduction at Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority, Department of Disaster Management, Government of Karnataka was the speaker for the session. He discussed the vulnerability status of individuals who can be infected with Covid-19 and emphasized various capacities such as physical preparedness, social and economic stability and human resource development to combat the pandemic. He also described the importance of 5’T’s to tackle coronavirus crisis which indicates testing, tracing, tracing and monitoring, teamwork and treatment. ??

A total of 134 students including II MSc (11), II PBBSc (17) and IV BSc Nursing (90) students along with the faculty members (16) of MCON and MSON, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 attended the guest lecture. The session was interactive and informative.
