Report of Awareness session on “Gender Sensitization”

The Education Committee of Student Nurses’ Association 2021 -22 of 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 College of Nursing, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 has organized an awareness session on the topic “Gender Sensitization” on 15th November 2021 between 4:00 pm & 5:00 pm. Dr Rayan Mathias, MAHE Student Counselor, Department of Student Affairs, MAHE, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏 was the Resource Person for the session. He spoke about gender, gender stereotypes, gender equity, equal opportunity and women empowerment, examples of behaviours that constitute sexual harassment at the workplace etc. He also highlighted the initiatives of MAHE towards conducting workshops on gender discrimination as well as the Gender Champion Workshop and also about the Internal Complaints Committee of MAHE, 娱乐老虎机,森林舞会游戏.

The session was conducted through Microsoft Teams Platform. A total of 129 participants including faculty members and students of BSc Nursing, PBBSc Nursing, MSc Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Critical Care Postgraduate Residency programme attended the session. Resource Person addressed and clarified the questions posed by the participants. The programme was coordinated by SNA Education Committee 2021-22.
