The department of Periodontology, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP) conducted the Oral Hygiene Day on the 2nd of August 2017. This year ISP had decided to conduct lectures across 20 centers and our college was one of the selected centers. This was to create awareness of Oral Hygiene amongst the masses and also to spread the science of Periodontics in the student fraternity. Lectures were delivered by Dr. Nagarathna D V, Professor Department of Periodontology, AJ Institute of Dental Sciences Mangalore, on Periodontics is not just scaling, and Dr. Neetha J Shetty, Associate Professor, Department of Periodontology, MCODS Mangalore on Modern day approaches in oral hygiene. The lectures were attended by 100 interns of the college.
