The children were made to feel comfortable by creating a playful and friendly environment. The department decorated with balloons and ribbons.Music welcomed the little guests as they arrived. The program included free dental screening and treatment, which was followed by an entertainment session for the special guests of the occasion. They were made to sit in a group specially arranged for the occasion. The parents were made to occupy the seats to witness the program in a separate arrangement.?

Children enjoyed the various games such as passing the parcel, musical chair and four corners. A drawing competition with a theme “My family” was held on this occasion. The faculty of the department selected two best drawings. The program ended with a cake cutting by children to commemorate the occasion. Refreshments, award for the winners and gifts were distributed among the children.

Dr. Savil Uchil, 2nd year postgraduate student anchored the program. The Head of the Department, Dr. Suprabha B.S thanked the children and their parents for making this a grand success and appreciated the efforts by the parents to ensure the oral health of their children.

I would like to thank our Dean Dr. Dilip Naik, who has supported us throughout the planning and conduct of the program. I would also like to thank the Interns posted at the Department of Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry for their never-ending enthusiastic participation and cooperation for the conduct of the program.
