The program began with a formal inaugural function. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Siddarth Shetty, Head of Department.? Dr. V. Renowned subject experts in the field, Dr. Girish R. Karandikar, Dr. G.Sreejith Kumar and Dr. Kiran Kumar H.C. were the resource faculty for the program.

Dr. Girish R. Karandikar lectured about the relevance and importance of functional appliances and gave an all-round perspective of the same. Dr. G. Sreejith Kumar spoke about diagnosis and treatment planning and bite registration. Dr. Kiran Kumar H.C talked about orthopedics in orthodontics and conducted a live demonstration of head-gear bending and delivery.

The program was attended by over 100 delegates mostly post graduate students from dental colleges in and around Mangalore. The program lectures were followed by Q & A sessions. The program was well appreciated by all the participants. ?
